Westside News for Families
Making Music!
Liz Bucklew and Lisa Maynard are putting
together a kids' group of elementary students to sing the prelude on
May 8 (Mother's Day) and we
hope your child would like to participate! We'll rehearse for half an
hour starting at noon on Apr 10 and May 1. If your child can't make both of the
rehearsals, we can probably work something out with him or her on a separate
Sunday to go over the tune. We'll also have a short rehearsal around
10 am on May 8. Please let Lisa or Liz know if your child is
interested so that we can figure out how big a room to reserve. Thank you!
Good Stewardship, and a good time!
Mark your calendar and plan to attend the Westside Unitarian
Universalist Auction to be held at Westside UU Congregation on April
2, 2011. Our goal this year is to raise $35,000 for our church. This
money will be used to support our capital and operations budgets as we
grow in our new building. Reaching our goal depends on the generosity
of the friends of Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation:
families, businesses and community members.
Donate: The procurement deadline is March 15, 2011. Download a form http://wsuu.org/labor_of_love.php. Donations submitted by 3/15, along with their donors, will be prominently acknowledged in the auction catalog. All auction attendees will receive a copy of the catalog.
Thank you in advance for your support in making this year's auction a
great success! If you have any questions, please contact the church
office. Staff will connect you to the committee.
