Westside Children and Youth for 1-2-11

Dear Westside Families,

On the threshold of the new year, I am reminded of the profound gift
of this faith community, the Westside Unitarian Universalist
Congregation. The children, parents, grandparents, teachers, leaders
and staff of our church bring deep care and joy to their work
together. The past year has held more transitions than we could
possibly have imagined, and our path has not always been smooth, but
we've traversed the obstacles together. To me it's an affirmation that
with care and grace this group of dear people can do absolutely
anything.

Thank you for being a part of this community, it truly is a blessing
to be together.

This Week:

Nursery, Storytime Nusery, Spirit Play and Middle School will hold
regular classes.

All Kindergarten through 5th grade children will share a game day and
learn a little more about their new classes and teachers. (K-1,
2nd-3rd, and 4th-5th with a few new teachers)

Upcoming Events:

January 9th 9:00, RE Teacher continuing education meeting, childcare
provided

January 9th 7th and 8th grade OWL resumes (3pm start with parent
meeting)

January 28th RE Summit meeting at 12:30--come share your vision for
the Westside RE Program, childcare provided
